All ‘kale’ this healthy snack!
These kale chips are a super easy and quick snack to enjoy when you’re a little peckish between meals or to add to salads for a bit of extra flavour. They make a healthier alternative to potato crisps while not lacking any flavour.
Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
200g kale leaves, stalks removed
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp ras el hanout
Preheat the oven to 150°C fan or 170°C.
Wash the kale and pat dry so that all the moisture is removed.
Coat the kale in the oil, salt and ras el hanout. Place the kale on a baking sheet on some parchment paper, making sure that none of the leaves overlap. Place the kale in the oven for 10 minutes, until they are crispy but not burnt.
Serve and enjoy!
*If you don’t have any ras el hanout, you can use a range of spices instead including paprika, cumin or sumac.
*You can keep the stalks on if you wish, but they have quite a bitter taste which is why we recommend removing them.
*It’s important to remove all the water from the kale leaves so that they go crispy in the oven.
